Pantone Color Institute is the most authoritative organization  to announce the colors of the year and general color trends, among other such institutes.

In the Fall 2016 Fashion Color report, Pantone has revealed a 10-color palette that is led by the blue family. The colors are inspired by the desire for tranquility, strength and optimism. These colors are expected to rule the Fall 2016 fashion runway.

The color blue is fundamentally important to the human eye as a stable icon of the balance in our universe. We remember that the blue skies represent constancy—they have never fallen. Along with anchoring earth tones, exuberant pops of vibrant colors also appear throughout the collections.

The 10 colors of the Fall 2016 palette are:
