Inter National Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) Indonesia held an Open House event on Saturday (13/8). Around 35 participants attended the event; most of them are high school students who are aiming to continue their study in the field of fashion and interior design.
The session opened by a speech from Aditi Srivastava, Global President of INIFD. She explained about the milestones of INIFD to the participants. After that, Jeffry Tan, Indonesian fashion designer who is also one of the mentors of INIFD gave a talk about career in fashion industry. The session went very interactive, and the participants were very enthusiastic to learn as much as possible from Jeffry.
The event then proceeded to workshop. At the fashion design workshop, the mentors taught about basic fashion illustration techniques to the participants. They got the chance to draw and color their design by their own under the mentors’ supervision.
As at the interior design workshop, the mentors spoke about current interior trend as well as introduction of interior programs. Participants also had a chance to learn about basic techniques of coloring using color pencils and watercolor paints.
